In a statement from the headquarters, it was stated that the US has threatened commercial ships and oil tankers navigating in Iran's territorial and coastal waters over the past three days. The statement noted that this move increases insecurity in the region, saying, "We consider this step by the US as an expansion of the war in the region. The Iranian Armed Forces, as demonstrated on the ground before, will not leave any threat or aggression by the US military unanswered and will respond accordingly."
In a statement by the US Central Command (CENTCOM), it was announced that within the scope of the naval blockade imposed on Iran, the routes of 17 commercial ships were changed, 2 ships were taken out of service, and 2 ships were raided to ensure compliance.
