Israeli troops trying to encircle Lebanon’s Nabatieh

Reporting from Tyre, Lebanon
Israeli troops have expanded their ground operations after crossing the Litani River and are continuing to push north towards the city of Nabatieh.
They’ve reached the outskirts of the town of Choukine, where they issued a forced evacuation ordered earlier in the day. Further east, they’re also pushing north on the ridgeline that follows the Litani River, creating a 900-meter-high gorge that looks over the District of Marjayoun.
Israeli troops are trying to take the high ground, surrounding the city of Nabatieh. They’re also pushing forward towards other towns with heavy bombardment and air strikes.
The Israelis seem to be trying to encircle the city of Nabatieh following a blanket evacuation order that was issued for the entire city earlier this week, along with a blanket order for evacuation in the city of Tyre.
All along, Israeli forces have been carrying out dozens of air strikes, drone strikes and artillery strikes in the southern sector, declaring the entire southern part of Lebanon a conflict zone, and warning anyone that’s still there to go north of the Zahrani River. That’s worsening a growing humanitarian crisis, with over a million people displaced in the country.
