Luhansk region left without stable water supply due to pump station accident - OVA

On the temporarily occupied part of Luhansk region, some cities have lost water supply, and cities with a population of hundreds of thousands are only half supplied with water.

As reported by Ukrinform, the head of the Luhansk Regional Military Administration, Oleksiy Kharchenko, announced this on Telegram.

"Due to an accident at a pump station, a significant part of Luhansk region has been left without a stable water supply. According to local resources, water supply has been completely stopped to more than two dozen settlements, including Perevalsk, Zorynsk, and Slovianoserbsk, while in Alchevsk, Brianka, Kadiivka (Stakhanov), and Irmino, supply volumes have decreased by 50-60%," Kharchenko wrote.

He added that interruptions are also observed in the regional centre itself. Water is promised to be supplied after the repair of damaged equipment, but this will be quite problematic due to the high wear and tear of the pipeline network.

Among other things, Luhansk lacks regular household waste removal, which causes unsanitary street conditions.

At the same time, in temporarily occupied Sievierodonetsk, infrastructure stagnation persists. The promises of the occupation administration to renovate it have no effect – neither restoration nor construction work is being carried out in the settlement.

The city is still cut off from free communication, and the cost of an hour of paid internet reaches unaffordable sums.

"People complain about difficult living conditions, depressed morale, and the inability to leave the region due to restrictions imposed by the occupiers," noted the head of the Luhansk OVA.

As reported by Ukrinform, some settlements in the part of Luhansk region captured by Russians were left without electricity, water, and communication.
