Mali: Army Announces Neutralization of a Terrorist Chief in a Drone Strike
The Malian General Staff announced the neutralization of a major terrorist chief during an operation carried out in the locality west of Djenné.
According to the statement, the individual, presented as an influential leader of an armed group affiliated with JNIM, was targeted by a drone strike after being located by the Malian armed forces. He was considered a key actor in coordinating terrorist activities in several areas of central and southern Mali, as well as in some border regions of Burkina Faso.
The military authorities believe that this operation deals a significant blow to the terrorist networks operating in the region. They reaffirm their determination to continue actions against armed groups until their complete dismantlement across the entire national territory.
