Safety recalls have been issued on 20 different vehicle models from several automakers over the past week in Canada.

See below for the vehicle recalls that were reported by Transport Canada between June 6 and 12.

Honda, Acura

Honda issued a recall that affects more than 130,000 Honda and Acura SUVs and pickup trucks over a potential rusting problem on suspension components on the rear subframe. Four vehicle models are affected. More details are available at the accompanying link.

Jeep, Chrysler

Stellantis issued two recalls over separate problems that could lead to a fire risk. One recall impacts more than 100,000 Jeeps, affecting a pair of vehicle models, and the other recall impacts more than 1,000 Chrysler minivans. More details are available at the accompanying link.

Toyota, Lexus

Toyota issued a recall that affects four vehicle models from its mainstream and luxury brands.

Affected vehicles include:

  • 2024 Lexus GX 550
  • 2025 Lexus UX 300h
  • 2024 and 2025 Toyota Land Cruiser
  • 2024 Toyota Mirai

Nearly 7,000 cars and SUVs are affected by the recall.

A software problem on some vehicles could cause the combination meter in the instrument cluster not to display when the vehicle is started. This could result in owners not being able to see certain information about the vehicle, including warning lights and malfunction tell-tales.

This recall only affects vehicles equipped with a 12.3-inch display.

“Warnings, tell-tales and gauges that don’t display could increase the risk of a crash,” the recall, last updated June 11, said.

The automaker will notify owners by mail and advise them to take their vehicle to a dealership to update the combination meter software.

Chevrolet, GMC

General Motors issued a recall affecting a pair of vans from two of its brands.

Affected models include:

  • 2026 Chevrolet Express
  • 2026 GMC Savana

This recall also affects certain cutaway chassis vehicles. A total of 41 vehicles are affected by the recall.

A component in the steering column may not have been manufactured properly on some vehicles and the transmission may not shift gears correctly when the shifter is moved. This could cause the gear shifter to feel like it is in one gear when the transmission is in another. This could result in the vehicle making sudden and unexpected movements.

“Sudden and unexpected movement of the vehicle could increase the risk of a crash,” the recall, last updated June 10, said.

To reduce the safety risk, GM advises owners to visually verify the gear selection in the instrument cluster when selecting a gear and always use the parking brake when parking until the recall repairs are completed.

The automaker will notify owners by mail and advise them to take their vehicle to a dealership to replace the transmission control on the steering column.

Ford, Lincoln

Ford issued several recalls lately affecting vehicles from its mainstream and luxury brands. We break them down one by one below.

Maverick, Bronco Sport

One recall affects a pair of vehicle models, and owners are advised not to drive these vehicles until the repairs are complete.

Affected vehicles include:

  • 2021 to 2026 Ford Bronco Sport
  • 2022 to 2026 Ford Maverick

A total of 815 vehicles are affected.

On some vehicles, the front lower ball joint(s) may not have been installed correctly on the steering knuckle(s) and the front lower ball joint(s) could detach and cause a loss of steering control.

“A loss of steering control could create a risk of a crash,” the recall, last updated June 8, said.

“To reduce the safety risk Ford advises you not to drive your vehicle until the recall repairs are completed.”

Ford will notify owners by mail and advise them to contact a dealer to arrange for an inspection. The dealer will repair the front steering knuckle(s), as necessary.

Bronco, Explorer, Ranger

Another Ford recall affects a trio of vehicles.

Affected models include:

  • 2025 and 2026 Ford Bronco
  • 2025 and 2026 Ford Explorer
  • 2025 and 2026 Ford Ranger

This recall only affects certain vehicles equipped with a 2.3-litre engine.

A total of 159 pickup trucks and SUVs are affected.

The engine may not have been manufactured properly on some vehicles and the engine could fail and cause a loss of power to the wheels.

“A sudden loss of power to the wheels could increase the risk of a crash,” the recall, last updated June 8, said.

Ford will notify owners by mail and advise them to take their vehicle to a dealership to replace the engine.

Navigator, Expedition

The third of Ford’s recalls affects a pair of full-size SUVs.

Affected models include:

  • 2018 to 2022 Ford Expedition
  • 2018 to 2022 Lincoln Navigator

Nearly 14,000 vehicles are affected.

This recall replaces Transport Canada recall Nos. 2024-084 and 2025-164, and vehicles that were repaired under those recalls also require this inspection or repair.

There could be a problem with the driver and/or front passenger seatbelt pretensioner(s) on some vehicles. This could cause the airbag warning light to turn on, and the seatbelt pretensioners to deploy without a crash.

“Seatbelt pretensioners that don’t work properly could create an increased risk of injury. Additionally, seatbelt pretensioners that deploy without a crash could startle the driver and increase the risk of a crash,” the recall, last updated June 10, said.

The automaker will notify owners by mail and advise them to take their vehicle to a dealership to inspect and, if necessary, replace the driver and front passenger seatbelt retractors.
