Petrobras issued a statement this Sunday (31) announcing a 9.59% reduction in the liter of diesel A for distributors, which represents a drop in the fuel price from R$3.65 to R$3.30 per liter. The measure takes effect this Monday (1st).
The company emphasized that the measure was made possible thanks to the diesel subsidy announced by President Lula's (PT) government. This Saturday (30), the Executive extended measures to try to contain fuel price hikes, due to the ongoing war between the United States and Israel against Iran.
Among the decisions, a subsidy of R$1.12 for road diesel replacing two other subsidies that would expire this Sunday (31).
Disclosure to the national market
In the statement announcing the reduction for distributors, Petrobras said it is evaluating the terms of the new subsidy. "Any company decision on this matter will be timely disclosed to the national market," the company highlighted.
