Haining Leather City, a sprawling commercial complex with a floor area of approximately 1.3 million square meters, over 6,000 businesses, and more than 10 million annual visitors, has implemented a new smart security solution utilizing DEEP Robotics' robot dogs. Previously, the complex relied on manual patrols, which struggled to detect anomalies in its vast corridors and numerous blind spots, especially during heavy daytime foot traffic and after closing hours.

The new system features patrol robot dogs that autonomously navigate the premises and report real-time anomalies, while firefighting robot dogs are on standby for rapid response to fire emergencies, creating a flexible and mobile intelligent defense line.

"Day and Night, the Market Now Has a Pair of Sleepless Eyes"

Manual patrols at Haining Leather City, with its multiple floors and dispersed inspection points, were labor-intensive and prone to overlooking blind spots within shops, behind shelves, and at the ends of corridors. DEEP Robotics' robot dogs, equipped with high-precision LiDAR, wide-angle cameras, and visual recognition systems, can build real-time maps, achieve centimeter-level positioning, and dynamically avoid obstacles. Supported by onboard computing and cloud-based collaboration, they can adjust routes in real time, ensuring agile and precise full-coverage patrols.

During peak periods, with daily visitor numbers exceeding 60,000, the security team faced immense pressure. Dense crowds and merchandise stacks obstructed visibility, making comprehensive manual coverage difficult and increasing the risk of human error due to fatigue. The robot dogs act as mobile "elevated observation points" with panoramic cameras, providing real-time situational awareness and eliminating surveillance blind spots. They enhance patrol efficiency and accuracy by monitoring areas that are challenging for human personnel.

At night, the market's limited emergency lighting created significant visual blind spots. Security guards previously patrolled with flashlights, leaving hazards hidden in corners. The DEEP Robotics' robot dogs, however, activate searchlights and use dual-spectrum pan-tilt-zoom cameras for inspections. They can detect infrared heat signatures even in complete darkness, identifying abnormal heat sources hidden within merchandise. A significant upgrade has been made to their smoke and flame detection capabilities; previously limited to one meter, the robot dogs can now detect smoke and flames from three to five meters away in nighttime conditions, greatly improving nighttime hazard detection.

"Detection, Verification, and Response: A Fully Automated Closed Loop"

Invisible hazards like combustible gas leaks, smoldering cigarette butts, and unauthorized smoking are difficult to detect manually. The robot dogs are equipped with multi-gas sensors to continuously monitor the air. Upon detecting an anomaly, they pinpoint its location, transforming intangible risks into detectable signals.

In the past, hazard reporting involved a lengthy communication chain via walkie-talkie. DEEP Robotics' robot dogs now use 5G modules to transmit live video, location data, and sensor information to a digital management platform in real time. The control center and fire control room can monitor the situation simultaneously. Anomalies like accumulated debris can be automatically reported, allowing for precise responses without the need for manual relaying of information or redundant checks.

To address violations like unauthorized smoking, which are hard to intercept in time, the robot dogs can issue on-site warnings through their two-way voice communication module as soon as the behavior is detected. This allows for immediate intervention, while control center personnel receive live information to assess and coordinate a remote response, maximizing the window for timely action.

"Autonomous Charging Supports Round-the-Clock Intelligent Operation"

DEEP Robotics' robot dogs can patrol for approximately three hours on a full charge. After completing their tasks, they autonomously return to their charging stations, ensuring continuous, all-weather patrols without dedicated operators.

DEEP Robotics' robot dogs are increasingly deployed in various patrol environments, including shopping centers, residential communities, and smart industrial parks, serving as a new force in intelligent public safety and security systems. They offer standardized solutions for challenges like surveillance blind spots, delayed responses, and human fatigue, enabling the scalable deployment of intelligent patrol systems.

DEEP Robotics' vision of "Creating a Better Life with Robots and AI" drives their commitment to freeing security personnel from repetitive and hazardous tasks, providing intelligent, round-the-clock, full-coverage support for security operations, ensuring traceable patrols and the detection of all potential hazards.
