At least five Russian civilians died after a massive Ukrainian drone attack during the night that sparked fires at the port terminal of Temriuk in the southern Krasnodar region and at a fuel depot in Yaroslavl, 250 kilometers from Moscow.
In the annexed Ukrainian region of Donetsk, three employees of a communal company died after a short-range drone launched by the Ukrainian army struck, according to Denís Pushilin, the pro-Russian governor of the territories controlled by Russia.
'Three employees of the company 'Voda Donbasa' (Donbas Water) died in Uglegorsk after an attack on the vehicle of a repair team. A fourth employee was very seriously injured. Doctors in the city of Górlovka are fighting for his life,' he wrote on MAX.
In the border region of Briansk, Ukrainian forces attacked the town of Soloviovka in the Klímovski district with a short-range kamikaze drone, killing one civilian, according to acting local governor Yegor Kovalchuk.
Meanwhile, the governor of Volgogrado, Andréi Bochárov, reported on MAX that a man died and a woman was injured after a drone attack on a synthetic fiber factory in the town of Volzski.
According to Bochárov, the attack targeted 'civilian and energy infrastructure objectives.'
Local authorities in the southern Krasnodar region reported that in the port of Temriuk 'a fire broke out after the fall of drone fragments.'
To extinguish the flames, 47 firefighters and 14 fire trucks were dispatched, the Emergency services said.
In addition, in the Yaroslavl region, located 250 kilometers northeast of Moscow, a Ukrainian drone hit a fuel depot.
'Today the region was the victim of a massive Ukrainian drone attack. Most of the drones were shot down, but an industrial fuel storage facility was hit. Emergency services are putting out the fire. There were no casualties,' wrote local governor Mijaíl Yevráyev on MAX, the Russian Telegram.
After the attack, authorities were forced to temporarily close traffic on the highway connecting the city with the Russian capital.
In total, during the night, Russian air defenses shot down 208 Ukrainian fixed-wing long-range drones over twelve Russian regions, the annexed Crimean peninsula, and the Sea of Azov.
