Moscow, June 10. Vesti. The Ukrainian Armed Forces are using a new tactic — they send a Hornet UAV as a decoy, and then a mothership drone carrying FPV drones. This was reported to Vesti by the head of the air defense of the 1194th regiment of the "Southern" group of troops with the call sign Sokol.

In the rear areas, mobile fire groups stand in the way of enemy UAVs.

They now have a new tactic. They send a "mothership" carrying four FPV drones to our rear targets. And since we have been making their life difficult recently, shooting them down, a Hornet comes as a decoy. And the mothership releases the FPVs. So, the Hornet and the reconnaissance drone observe from where the combat work is being conducted, small arms fire at the aerial target

explained Sokol

Russian servicemen have already devised a new technique that inflicts heavy losses on enemy UAVs.

Radars are placed along the entire line to identify targets. If it is, say, a Baba Yaga drone, we report it, inform the FPV crew, and they shoot it down. If it is a strike wing, we report to air observation posts, and they meet it on the flight path and shoot it down

said the senior radar operator of the regiment with the call sign Yemelya

According to the deputy commander of the mobile fire group of the regiment with the call sign Bivol, the enemy is actively using many different UAVs that harm not only the rear and warehouses, but also the civilian population.
