A fight involving a group of men and security guards escalated into a shooting with traumatic pistols in the center of Dnipro. The incident occurred near "one of the establishments" on Magdenburg Rights Street. The conflict began when a group of men clashed with security guards, and then shots were fired on the street towards the security agency employees. As a result of the incident, security guards and a 24-year-old man sustained injuries.
The incident took place on the evening of August 14, as reported by the Dnipro police. Law enforcement officers from the Dnipro district police department have identified the participants in the conflict and are searching for those involved in the "hooligan actions."
What is known about the incident
Law enforcement officers have detained two suspects, aged 29 and 31, in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. Traumatic weapons were seized from them.
Under the procedural guidance of the Central District Prosecutor's Office of Dnipro, investigators have informed both detainees of suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 4 of Article 296 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – this article concerns hooliganism.
Pre-trial investigation is ongoing, the police added.
Residents of Dnipro report that the incident occurred around eleven o'clock in the evening, opposite the well-known local beer bar "MakhnoPub."
People are outraged by the actions of the security firm's employees.
As OBOZ.UA reported, in Dnipro, Yegor Khudiakov, a representative of the city council's housing department, was also found dead. The body of the 30-year-old official was discovered in the Sobornyi district of the city. This information was confirmed by the city executive committee.
In Kyiv, law enforcement officers detained a man suspected of a brutal murder in the Solomianskyi district. During a conflict, a previously convicted offender drew a knife and inflicted multiple fatal stab wounds on an acquaintance.
