China News Service, Suzhou, June 28 (Reporter Zhong Sheng) The fourth Low-altitude (Suzhou) Industry Innovation and Ecology Conference, themed "Low-altitude Intelligent Connectivity Creates the Future," opened on June 27. The event featured multiple cooperation signings in the low-altitude field and the release of new signed projects for Suzhou's low-altitude economy.
Suzhou's low-altitude economy has gradually formed a development pattern with "manufacturing as the core, service supporting, and infrastructure underpinning." Among these, low-altitude manufacturing projects total 75, with a planned total investment of 19.35 billion yuan, accounting for over 80% of the total investment in all projects, highlighting Suzhou's industrial agglomeration advantages in low-altitude equipment manufacturing and core component production. In the first half of this year, Suzhou signed 120 low-altitude economy projects, with a planned total investment of 22.47 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16.4%.
Ma Xin, member of the Standing Committee of the Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee and Executive Vice Governor, expressed in his speech the hope that Suzhou and even Jiangsu Province would take this conference as an opportunity to adhere to technological innovation as the engine, build a modern "low-altitude manufacturing + service" dual-chain system, and promote the low-altitude industry as an important growth pole for emerging pillar industries. He also called for exploring sustainable business models, creating a replicable and scalable matrix of characteristic scenarios, implementing the requirement of "no safety, no low-altitude," better coordinating development and safety, advancing the classification and delineation of airspace, accelerating software and hardware construction to ensure safe and orderly low-altitude flights, and strengthening policy guidance and support while leveraging the role of industrial alliances to forge a new situation for low-altitude economic development during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period.
Fan Bo, Secretary of the Suzhou Municipal Party Committee, stated that the low-altitude economy is one of Suzhou's ten key emerging industries. He sincerely hopes to deepen cooperation with industry enterprises, research institutes, and universities in industrial innovation, scenario expansion, and ecological co-construction, focusing on breakthroughs in key core technologies, jointly building a number of commercially viable low-altitude demonstration projects, accelerating the deep integration of technological and industrial innovation, and collectively expanding the low-altitude economy industrial cluster. Suzhou will continue to optimize the low-altitude economy innovation ecosystem and better serve enterprises developing in Suzhou.
At the conference, the development situation and industrial ecology of Jiangsu's low-altitude industry were introduced, a batch of low-altitude scenarios, low-altitude aircraft products, and low-altitude standard achievements were released, the launch ceremony of the Jiangsu Low-Altitude Economy Industry Alliance was held, and the Jiangsu Low-Altitude Technology and Engineering College was inaugurated. The co-construction agreement for the Suzhou Low-Altitude Intelligent Network Key Laboratory, the provincial-municipal low-altitude infrastructure collaborative co-construction cooperation agreement, and the Shanghai-Suzhou low-altitude economy integrated development cooperation agreement were signed respectively.
