The Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK) announced the annual industrial product statistics for 2025.
Accordingly, in Turkey last year, 1,216,140 automobiles, 8,329,500 household refrigerators and freezers, 334,022,968 tons of ready-mixed concrete, 1,266,183 combi boilers (hermetic), 9,557,361 tons of detergents and washing preparations, and 774,970 motorcycles were produced.
Sales of products produced by enterprises totaled 24 trillion 28 billion 700 million lira. This value was recorded as 18 trillion 814 billion 973 million lira in 2024 and 13 trillion 343 billion 937 million lira in 2023.
Food industry products accounted for 15.5 percent of this sales amount. This was followed by basic metal industry products with 10.2 percent, motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers with 9.7 percent, and fabricated metal products manufacturing with 6.1 percent.
3.6 percent of production sales value from high-tech products
When the products manufactured in the manufacturing industry in 2025 were classified by technology level, it was observed that high-tech products constituted 3.6 percent of the total sales value. The total of low and medium-low technology groups was 67.5 percent, while the share of the medium-high technology group was 28.8 percent.
When classified by main industrial groups, it was determined that intermediate goods constituted 43.8 percent of the total sales value, non-durable consumer goods 23.7 percent. The share of capital goods was calculated as 21.8 percent.
The top 5 provinces with the largest share in the manufacturing of motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers accounted for 83.1 percent of the total sales value. Of the production sales, 34 percent were realized in Kocaeli, 29.8 percent in Bursa, 11.8 percent in Sakarya, 3.9 percent in Aksaray, and 3.6 percent in Izmir.
Last year, in the manufacturing industry, clothing items constituted 32.3 percent of the total sales value of outsourced products, textile products 17.6 percent, and fabricated metal products manufacturing 9.3 percent.
