Earthquake in Venezuela: The Venezuelan community in Río Cuarto asks for logistical help for donations

The Venezuelan community in Río Cuarto is collecting donations for Caracas and is looking for freight trucks or trucks to transport them to Córdoba.

June 30, 2026 - 12:51

The community of Río Cuarto once again showed its solidarity spirit in the face of an international emergency. After the tragic earthquakes in Venezuela, the organized local resident community launched a donation collection campaign.

The accumulated cargo will first be transferred to the city of Córdoba, then to Buenos Aires, and finally airlifted to Caracas to directly assist the disaster victims.

Aid exceeded expectations and now logistics are needed

In an interview with Diario Puntal, one of the coordinators of the local collection center expressed the deep emotion of the community for the support received in the city:

"All Venezuelans here in Argentina, especially in Río Cuarto, I think our hearts are full. We did not make a mistake in choosing Argentina as our home. Solidarity should be Argentina's surname."

The response from the people of Río Cuarto exceeded the organizers' initial estimates. Initially, the group of volunteers planned to transport the collected supplies using private vehicles. However, the volume of donations grew massively, creating an unforeseen transportation complication.

"What we need today is logistics," the coordinator emphasized. "We had a couple of boxes that we were going to take by car, but thanks to the solidarity of everyone, the boxes got a bit bigger and we are worried about how to transport what we have from Río Cuarto to Córdoba." For this reason, they appealed to transporters, companies, or individuals with freight trucks or trucks who wish to collaborate with this leg of the journey.

Collection points enabled in Río Cuarto and the region

To continue centralizing aid, nine collection centers were established, coordinated by associates and participating businesses. Citizens interested in bringing clothing, non-perishable food, or first aid supplies can go to the following addresses detailed in "0630 (1).mp4":

  • In Banda Norte: Felipe Neri Guerra 50

  • In Macrocentro and Centro: Roma 1021, Maipú 385, Santiago del Estero 1385, General Paz 390, Saint Remy 335

  • In Barrio Alberdi: Vicente López y Planes 560

  • In Las Higueras: Carlos Gardel 501, Local 2

  • Nearby towns: Alpa Corral, on Los Olivos Street, at the bakery at the entrance to the town, under the reception of neighbor Soledad; and Río de los Sauces, at the intersection of Tucumán and Avenida San Martín
