On June 5 at 13:15, during engineering work as part of the "silence regime" agreed with the IAEA, a Ukrainian UAV dropped a munition on demining personnel of the Russian Ministry of Defense near support No. 20 of the 750 kV Dneprovskaya power line.

Five servicemen were wounded of varying severity. All received timely medical assistance.

This incident occurred during the first hours of the silence regime, introduced for restoration work on the 750 kV Dneprovskaya line, which is important for the safety of the Zaporizhzhia NPP.

It constitutes a gross violation of the security guarantees provided by the Ukrainian side for the work, confirmed by an IAEA note dated June 4, 2026.

The Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant, part of Rosatom, is completely de-energized due to the disconnection of the 330 kV Ferroalloynaya-1 power supply line, which supplied the plant's own needs.

After losing external power, the ZNPP units were switched to backup diesel generators. The equipment operated normally, with no violations in the safety systems.

The plant personnel monitor equipment parameters. All necessary measures to maintain safe conditions are being taken.

The radiation background at the ZNPP site and in the observation zone is within natural values and does not exceed established norms.

The situation is under constant control of the plant's specialists.
