On June 16, with the successful loading of the last platform at the Tianjin Binhai New Area, all platforms of the world's largest metamorphic rock oilfield—the Bozhong 26-6 Oilfield Development Project (Phase II)—have been completed on land, laying the foundation for the oilfield to commence production on schedule.
The Bozhong 26-6 Oilfield is located in the central Bohai Sea, with reservoirs in the Archean buried-hill metamorphic rock formation buried over 4,500 meters deep. It is the world's largest metamorphic rock oilfield, with cumulative proven oil and gas geological reserves exceeding 200 million cubic meters. The Phase I development project was officially put into production in February last year. Phase II will build two new wellhead platforms at sea, consisting of jackets and topsides. The two wellhead platforms completed this time will achieve unmanned operation.

During the construction of the platform topsides, the project relied on the intelligent manufacturing model of CNOOC's Tianjin Intelligent Manufacturing Base and actively promoted integrated construction. Welding robots were introduced, and through fixture modification and program optimization, welding efficiency increased by 20%.
As a key carbon dioxide capture, utilization, and storage demonstration project planned by CNOOC in the Bohai Oilfield and a key support for studying the soil characteristics and bearing capacity of the Bohai region, the Bozhong 26-6 Oilfield carries multiple missions such as energy supply guarantee, green transformation, and scientific research, which is of great significance for ensuring energy security in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the Bohai Rim.
Currently, the two platforms have set sail for the central Bohai Sea area to begin offshore installation operations. (Reporter: Liang Zi)
