HALF a million Russian soldiers have been killed in Ukraine according to British intelligence, but Vladimir Putin shows no signs of stopping.
The death toll in his war is more than Britain’s total losses of 384,000 soldiers and 70,000 civilians during the six years of World War Two.

Another one million Russian soldiers are said to have been injured since the invasion began in February 2022.
Britain’s Chief of Defence Staff Sir Richard Knighton blasted tyrant Putin for a “senseless and futile waste of human life”.
He said: “Defence Intelligence have confirmed that it is 500,000 dead.
“That means half a million photographs hanging on the walls in devastated, darkened homes in Russia.
“Half a million families that will never see their father, son, brother, or husband again.”
But western officials warned none of it was moving Putin to give up his goal of controlling Ukraine.
One said: “We’re not seeing any shift in Putin’s mindset. We don’t see any intelligence that suggests he’s reflective of the huge cost to his people.”
Ukraine says Russia can only fight on for another two years.
Its spy chief Oleh Ivashchenko said: “Russia has military and economic resources for the next year, but we estimate it will end in 2028.”
Moscow is grappling with labour shortages and high inflation.
Air Chief Marshal Knighton said there had been fuel shortages in 80 out of 83 regions after Ukraine hit oil refineries.
Ukraine has also broken the record for the longest drone strike with a blitz on an Arctic gas plant 2,000 miles away.
