Speaking at the Conference to Announce the Master Plan and Investment Promotion of Dak Lak Province, Mr. Nguyen Nguyen - Deputy General Director of Trung Nguyen Coffee Group affirmed that the master plan of Dak Lak Province for the period 2021–2030, with a vision to 2050, is not only an orientation for socio-economic spatial development but also an invitation for resources to join hands in creating a new growth pole for the highland-coastal region.
Dak Lak Province currently has new advantages thanks to administrative changes and mergers, gradually transforming into a new growth pole of the forest-sea region, with inter-regional transport infrastructure and a multi-sector economy.
A representative of Trung Nguyen Coffee Group highly appreciated the strategic action program "Buon Ma Thuot - The World's Best Coffee Capital" for the period 2026–2030, with an orientation to 2035 of Dak Lak Province. This is not just a destination promotion goal but a development positioning with vision.
Mr. Nguyen Nguyen proposed three groups of orientations to build the Vietnamese coffee brand.
First, he recommends that the Government, ministries, and Dak Lak Province continue to pay attention to specific mechanisms and policies to develop Buon Ma Thuot into a model, distinctive coffee city with commensurate transport infrastructure, tourism, services, and cultural space.
Second, there is a need for incentive policies and mechanisms to accompany enterprises in forming agricultural-industrial coffee clusters, processing the entire value chain, especially in the segments of finished coffee, branded coffee, and high value-added products.
Third, cooperation should be promoted in coffee culture, coffee diplomacy, coffee education, coffee tourism, and coffee heritage to make Buon Ma Thuot - Dak Lak coffee a value recognized and honored globally.
"Trung Nguyen Legend wishes to continue accompanying Dak Lak Province on this journey. We hope to work together with the province, ministries, enterprises, investors, and the international community to create a comprehensive coffee ecosystem: physical coffee, social coffee, and spiritual coffee; contributing to making Buon Ma Thuot - Dak Lak a destination for global coffee knowledge, culture, creativity, experience, and heritage," Mr. Nguyen Nguyen stated.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyen Quoc Tuan - Deputy General Director of Vingroup emphasized that the Conference to Announce the Master Plan and Investment Promotion of Dak Lak Province is a strategic event in cooperating to promote investment, economic, and trade development between Dak Lak Province and domestic and international enterprises and partners.
"We assess this as a strategic event in promoting investment, economic development, and enhancing cooperation between Dak Lak Province and domestic and international enterprises and partners. In particular, today's conference is important in connecting resources, promoting socio-economic development cooperation, especially in the field of renewable energy in the Central Highlands region," Mr. Tuan affirmed.
According to Mr. Tuan, in the context of Vietnam's electricity demand continuing to grow strongly, while many traditional power projects and large-scale power projects are facing difficulties and challenges in investment progress, site clearance, fuel sources, and transmission infrastructure, the issue of ensuring national energy security is more urgent than ever.
This is also the time for localities with outstanding potential like Dak Lak to leverage advantages in natural resources, land fund, and climatic conditions to become a renewable energy development center of the region and the country.
With great potential for solar power, wind power, and green energy models associated with circular economy development, Dak Lak not only plays an important role in supplementing clean electricity supply but also contributes to implementing commitments on greenhouse gas emission reduction, equitable energy transition, and sustainable development of Vietnam in the coming years.
