DKV Mobility Launches a Charging Card Adapted for Electric Trucks
DKV Mobility launches DKV Card +Charge Truck, a charging card designed specifically for transport operators using electric commercial vehicles.
The card provides access to over 3,000 verified charging points compatible with trucks, available at competitive rates in over 17 European countries. This card extends DKV Mobility's existing portfolio and is part of the company's development strategy in e-mobility. The goal is to make the transition to alternative drive systems as simple as possible for its customers.
While electrification in the passenger car and company car segment is already advanced, e-mobility solutions are still in their early stages for road freight transport.
Sven Mehringer, Managing Director at DKV Mobility and head of the Energy & Vehicle Services department, says: "Energy management for commercial vehicles is becoming increasingly complex – more drive modes, more suppliers, more billing systems. DKV Card +Charge Truck offers fleet operators a clear answer: one card for all drive systems, all necessary services and a single invoice. With this step, we are actively advancing our transition to a superior platform for integrated mobility."
Unlike passenger cars, charging points for trucks must meet considerably higher requirements: adequate heights, wide access lanes, sufficient space for maneuvering and a charging capacity that can handle the energy demand of heavy vehicles. Therefore, DKV Mobility evaluates each truck charging station in its network based on clearly defined minimum standards.
Tim Dambor, Director Product Management eMobility Roaming at DKV Mobility, adds: "For electric truck drivers and dispatchers, reliability is the most important aspect. Our verified network and real-time overview in the app give them the certainty that the next station is close at hand and that the vehicle can be charged there."
DKV Card +Charge Truck is already available throughout Europe. It is particularly suitable for transport operators who are in transition to electric mobility: the card covers both charging of electric trucks and refueling of conventional vehicles.
With ~441,000 active customers in over 50 European countries, ~2,800 employees, DKV Mobility is a leading B2B platform for payment and mobility solutions on the road, with a history of over 90 years of purpose-driven growth. In 2025, DKV Mobility generated a transaction volume of €20 billion and revenue of €860 million.
