Despite President Donald Trump insisting that US troops are winning the war against Iran for five months now, Tehran claims to have destroyed several US aircraft and caused the deaths of dozens of its soldiers.
During an interview with the Tasnim news agency, Hosein Mohebi, brigadier general and deputy director of Public Relations of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) of Iran, stated that in the last two weeks, the enemy that threatened to wipe them off the face of the earth and send them back to the Stone Age is suffering more casualties than those acknowledged through Pentagon records.
“During 15 days of combat, from July 8 to 22, the Iranian Armed Forces destroyed 11 US fighter jets and helicopters that were on the ground and deployed at US military bases in the region,” he said.
In more detail, the military official stated that in the Iranian attacks, 17 reconnaissance and combat drones were destroyed, eight of them new; an F-15 fighter, a supersonic combat aircraft that was inside a reinforced shelter; a P-8 maritime patrol aircraft, a C-17 transport aircraft, and eight aerial refueling tankers.
While in Washington there has been absolute silence regarding this information, General Mohebi says that US military infrastructure in the region has also suffered significant damage.
Allegedly, the United States has lost seven command and control centers, three satellite communications systems, six Patriot radar systems, eight early detection and warning systems, seven anti-missile defense radars, and several long-range radars, as well as air and maritime surveillance radars.
However, the most sensitive issue concerns human casualties, as the Revolutionary Guard spokesman did not hesitate to speak of more than 200 US soldiers killed during the recent escalation of the conflict, which inexplicably paused again from Friday night, presumably to allow for diplomatic talks.
Through a message disseminated by the Tasnim agency, Mohamad Baqer Zolqadr, secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, stated that his nation will continue to punish US interests until it is subdued.
“The continuous and selective attacks of our fighters are the lashes of the Iranian people's anger, falling upon the system of domination and will continue, with God's help, until the total surrender of the enemy.
Every column of smoke in the region means that a US military, security, or financial center has been hit,” he stressed.
