Kirishskaya GRES put a new turbogenerator into shaft turning

As part of the reconstruction project of the CHP part at Kirishskaya GRES of PJSC "OGK-2", one of the most important stages of pre-start work was carried out — putting the new turbogenerator No. 4 into shaft turning.

Its purpose is to check the correct assembly of the turbine, evaluate the alignment of all elements and the readiness of various systems for start-up. The next key moment — a trial vacuum set — is scheduled for the end of the week.

The replacement and reconstruction of the main equipment of the CHP part of Kirishskaya GRES is carried out within the framework of the state program for competitive selection of modernized capacities (KOMMod).

Shaft turning is the rotation of the turbine by means of an electric drive with a gearbox mounted on it. During the operation, the rotational speed of the turbine rotor is four revolutions per minute. During operation, the turbogenerator rotor will rotate at a speed of 3000 revolutions per minute.
