The meeting also discussed strengthening tourism cooperation, considering direct flights between the two countries and growing interest of Kazahstani tourists in Crna Gora.

As part of an official visit to the Republic of Kazahstan, President of Crna Gora Jakov Milatović met in Astana with the Prime Minister of Kazahstan Olžas Bektenov.

As announced by Milatović's cabinet, the interlocutors assessed that the first official visit of the President of Crna Gora to Kazahstan represents an important moment for relations between the two countries and an opportunity to direct friendly relations, based on mutual respect and without open issues, toward more concrete economic, investment, and institutional cooperation.

Milatović emphasized that Crna Gora and Kazahstan have significant room to turn existing friendship into a long-term partnership, especially through strengthening investments, trade, tourism, transport connectivity, energy, agriculture, and digital technologies.

"Crna Gora and Kazahstan have friendly relations. Now it is important to turn them into concrete projects, new investments, better connectivity, and cooperation that brings benefits to the citizens and economies of both countries," he said.

As added in the statement, special importance was given to the Crna Gora and Kazahstan Business Forum, which brings together representatives of institutions and business communities of the two countries, with the aim of establishing direct contacts and identifying new opportunities for cooperation in areas of common interest.

The meeting also discussed strengthening tourism cooperation, considering direct flights between the two countries and the growing interest of Kazahstani tourists in Crna Gora. "The interlocutors also pointed out the potential for cooperation in digital transformation, innovation, and artificial intelligence, as well as in the areas of energy and public administration," the president's cabinet stated.

Additional impetus to relations, as they point out, is provided by memorandums of cooperation between national tourism organizations, chambers of commerce of the two countries, as well as RTCG and the media complex of the President of Kazahstan, which represent an important step towards stronger institutional and economic connectivity.

It was concluded that the official visit of the President of Crna Gora to Kazahstan opens a new phase of relations between the two countries, from traditional friendship to concrete, substantive, and long-term partnership.
