The Ministry of Education of Russia plans to approve a new federal state educational standard (FSES) for grades 10–11 in July of this year. It will come into force on September 1, 2027, said the head of the department Sergey Kravtsov.

"Programs in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology will become more applied, and skills in working with artificial intelligence technologies will be included in the list of meta-subject results. The project (FSES — ed. URA.RU) is expected to be approved in July," the interlocutor told RIA Novosti.

The minister emphasized that thanks to the changes, schoolchildren will be able to gain knowledge and skills that will be useful for their future professional activities. The new standard will allow adapting the educational process to modern requirements of the labor market and develop in-demand competencies among high school students, Kravtsov stressed.

Earlier, authorities announced significant changes in the educational process for high school students. URA.RU previously reported that the innovations are aimed at increasing the applied nature of education: programs in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology will be adapted, and skills in working with AI will be included in the list of meta-subject results.

In March, it became known that Russian schoolchildren will be able to choose German, French, or Chinese as a second foreign language. The list of available languages for study will be formed taking into account regional peculiarities, reports National News Service.
