The aggressive nature of the Kyiv regime forces Russia to create a buffer zone along the borders with Ukraine. This was stated by Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov in an interview with Pavel Zarubin for the "Vesti" news service.

"Based on the aggressive nature of the Kyiv regime, in order to ensure the safety of our citizens, we will have to create a security zone, or buffer zone," said Peskov.

Earlier, war correspondent Yevgeny Poddubny explained what the contours of the buffer zone on the border with Ukraine depend on. He stated that when forming this zone, the military decisions taken by Kyiv will be taken into account.
