Since June 13, more than half a thousand reports for return from AWOL have been submitted through the 'Army+' app.

This was reported by the head of the Main Department of Information Technologies of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, Oleh Berestovyi, in a comment to journalists.

'We see interest in the service of returning to service from the first days after launch. Since Saturday alone, over 500 reports for return after AWOL have been submitted, of which 99 have already been approved. There are also the first successful cases of actual enlistment of servicemen into units,' Berestovyi said.

He added that the first two reports for an infantry-assault contract in the army were approved by the 39th Separate Marine Brigade.

'By the number of submitted and approved reports, we see that servicemen are actively using the service. This means that the digital tool is working as intended,' the official noted.

  • Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov previously explained that only those servicemen whose unauthorized absence from a unit was officially recorded before June 12, 2026, can use the simplified return mechanism through the app. The opportunity to submit such a report online is open until September 20, 2026.
