'Russian missile fell in Poland'. Tusk: 'Our airspace violated'
"Military airports, military-industrial complex facilities, telecommunications centers and military logistics" were hit last night in the Russian "massive attack" with drones and missiles against Ukraine, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.
The ministry specifies that the targeted objectives are located in the cities of Kyiv and Lviv and in the regions of Ivano-Frankivsk, Zhytomyr, Rivne, Vinnytsia and Dnipropetrovsk.
"A cargo ship in the port of Yuzhny and two cargo ships east and south of Odessa, which were transporting weapons and military equipment, were also hit," the ministry adds.
The targeted objectives, the Russian Defense Ministry adds in a statement posted on its Telegram channel, "were involved in the production, storage and transport of various types of missile weapons and drones, as well as in the operation of the airspace control system."
Six people, including two girls aged 5 and 12, died in a Russian missile attack on Kryvyi Rih in central Ukraine, according to local authorities.

"In a village on the outskirts of Kryvyi Rih, an Iskander-M ballistic missile launched from Voronezh hit a private home where a large family lived, killing two girls and four adults," said the head of the municipal military administration, Oleksandr Vilkul.
Russian raids — according to local authorities — also killed one person in Kyiv and another in Poltava. A few hours earlier, President Volodymyr Zelensky had warned of an imminent "massive attack."

"The fate of Zakharii, Dominika, Viorika, Federica and Artem is still to be determined. This horrible crime of the Russian war against Ukraine, against normal people, against normal life, can only be stopped with the commitment of the whole world. No one in the world can be left alone to face such terror. When we say that Ukraine needs Patriot missiles, when we seek the ability to defend ourselves against Russian ballistic missiles, we are not talking about abstractions. We are talking about families like the Voronovs, about people like them, who can only live if there are systems capable of intercepting Russian missiles, if partners help with interception systems. Families that can die if there are no systems capable of stopping Russian Iskander missiles. It is important that these people are seen by those who make decisions: decisions are made at the Pentagon, in European capitals and everywhere in the world where there is the possibility to help Ukraine protect life."
NATO: 'We will take all necessary measures to defend the territory'
"In response to the Russian missile of a currently unknown type that entered Polish airspace, NATO and Poland have activated their air and ground defenses. The Supreme Allied Commander Europe, General Alexus Grynkewich, spoke with the Polish Chief of Staff and stressed that NATO will continue to take all necessary measures to defend its Alliance territory." This is stated by the spokesman of the NATO Supreme Allied Command in Europe, Martin O'Donnell, recalling that "NATO is in close contact with Polish authorities" regarding the incident, "which is still under investigation."
Tusk: 'Polish airspace violated during Russian raid on Ukraine'
"During the massive Russian missile attack on western Ukraine, Polish airspace was violated." This is what Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk writes on X, announcing that he has called a meeting with the Defense Minister and the relevant services. The Operational Command of the Armed Forces reported that at 3:40 an unidentified object heading west was detected. An F-16 took off, the radar contact was lost a few minutes later. Searches are ongoing in the area of Tarnawa-Kolonia, Lublin region.
The Polish Prime Minister presiding over the emergency meeting on the incident confirms that "a missile" fell on Polish territory and says that "it appears" to have been a Russian Kh-101 cruise missile. "Let's not rush to conclusions before the detailed investigation is complete; we want to be 100% sure of the type of projectile that was fired," he adds, calling the incident "serious" but confirming that there were no casualties or damage.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that "a Russian Kh-101 cruise missile crossed the border with Poland as part of the massive Russian attack on Ukraine, violating NATO airspace." Polish authorities have not yet formally identified the object that exploded in eastern Poland. "This is another clear demonstration of the urgency to strengthen Ukraine's air defense, a need that represents a guarantee for the protection of the entire Euro-Atlantic community," Sybiha said.
Zelensky: 'Serious shortage of anti-aircraft missiles from our partners'
"In total, so far, eight people have died across the country." The President Volodymyr Zelensky gives the toll of the overnight Russian attack on Ukraine on Telegram.
"Kyiv and its region, our Dnipro region, Lviv, Poltava, Kharkiv, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy and the Ivano-Frankivsk region were hit. Dozens of homes, businesses and infrastructure were destroyed or damaged. The attack involved more than 70 missiles, many of them ballistic. More than 280 attack drones. More than 260 drones were destroyed."
"In conditions of a serious shortage of anti-aircraft missiles from our partners, our soldiers are performing incredible feats," the Ukrainian leader added, speaking of "Russian terrorism." "All our partners know how and with what means they can contribute," he then urged. "Delays in the supply of anti-ballistic missiles are the cause of this destruction," Zelensky concluded.
