On June 12, the Da Nang City People's Committee announced that the Chairman of the City People's Committee had signed a decision to dissolve a number of mass organizations in the area.
Accordingly, 7 mass organizations were dissolved for failing to fulfill their obligations to report on their organization, operations, and finances as required.
Specifically, these include the Da Nang City Midwives Association; the Quang Nam Province Vietnam-Laos Volunteer Veterans Liaison Committee; the Da Nang City Surgical Association; the Da Nang City Investors Association; the Da Nang City Chamber of Commerce; the Da Nang City Creative Development Association; and the Da Nang City Dementia Care Association.
The above mass organizations were permitted to be established from 1998 to 2019, but during their operations, they did not comply with the regulations on periodic reporting. The Da Nang City People's Committee required the 7 dissolved mass organizations to return their seals to the competent authorities and cease all activities from the effective date of the document.
At the same time, the City People's Committee assigned the People's Committee Office, the Department of Home Affairs, the Department of Finance, the Department of Industry and Trade, the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Health, and related agencies to coordinate implementation and supervision.
In addition, the Da Nang City People's Committee also decided to dissolve 5 social and charitable funds, including: the Da Nang City Vetiver System Development Fund; the Da Nang City Progress Fund; the Da Nang City Sympathetic Hearts Fund; the Da Nang City Nam Khue Charity Fund; and the Da Nang City Vietnamese Life Source Fund.
